Ok, there is an animation! I think just in the first level it's not visible beacause of the character portrait animation at the start of a run

I bought this game on catalog after I had a great time with the tochi games. The lushes land has great music and the art style and world is really well done - but sadly the performance on playdate hinders the experience in this state. I get freezes sometimes every 10 seconds and the music get stuck in these moments too.

Thx for clearing that up! Yeah, maybe I bought an item I allready had, didn´t pay close attention to it and died the next level!

Thx for your reply!

It seems the "kill random enemy at the start of each lvl X" items are not working?

I also maxed out the item slots in one run but could still buy new stuff - is it possible to see the purchased items that doesn´t fit in the inventory?

Unlocked the Necromancer in the first level after killing maybe 5 enemies. I think I did 2 runs before in which I died and chose "try again".

The ingame tutorial says collect hearts to heal instead of potions, besides that it lacks any information about EXP.

It would be nice to have an animation on the random damaged enemy at the start of a level when equipping the item skullsplitter with the warrior.  A way to abandon a run would also be nice to have - for example having a "back to title" option when pressing the home button.

Besides that it´s a quiet polished fun expeience, thank you!

I bought your game on catalog and came here to say how awesome it is! Best Sudoku/KenKen/Binario style game I played on playdate.

Also nice that you want to fix the undo annoyance, looking forward to it!

Awesome polished game. But I found a gamebraking bug: you can heal indefinitely without using mana by wearing the battlemage shield and wait (pressing B) while in the hat. Makes the item way overpowered and progression stupidly easy

The game modes are perfect for short session! Would be nice to have more background music options

Thx for the response, would love to see it implemented like that!

Maybe let the player know if a word is valid before playing it? Like pressing down to check the current word. Great game by the way!
